Seven-point row check

Hoobuy Spreadsheet Checklist Before Saving a Find

A shortlist should become easier to explain as it gets smaller. Use this check before a row earns a saved tab, note or bookmark.

How to use the score

Give the row one point for each condition it satisfies. Six or seven points makes it a strong shortlist candidate; four or five means research more; three or fewer is a signal to remove it for now.

The seven-point checklist

  • The item belongs in the category I am browsing.
  • Photos show the details that matter for this product type.
  • Sizing, measurements, or fit notes are visible when needed.
  • Price makes sense beside similar finds.
  • Shipping weight does not ruin the value.
  • The row is not just hype or a vague label.
  • I can explain why I would save this find.

Score your row

6–7Strong shortlist candidate
4–5Research more
2–3Weak row
0–1Remove for now

A score organizes your thinking; it does not verify the product, seller or outcome. One serious concern—such as a mismatched link—can outweigh a high total.

QC photos by category

Shoes and sneakers

Look for both side profiles, toe and heel shape, outsole, stitching close-ups, interior label and a useful size reference.

Hoodies and shirts

Check front and back, collar or hood, cuffs, seams, graphics, fabric texture and garment measurements.

Jackets and pants

Inspect closures, lining, seams and hardware. Measurements should cover the areas that determine fit.

Bags and accessories

Ask for scale, dimensions, corners, fastening, inside views and close-ups of the parts likely to show construction quality.

QC photos can answer visible questions, but they do not guarantee materials, durability, fit or future performance. A QC finder or QC photo finder is useful only when the images correspond to the correct item and reveal the details you need.

Strong and weak examples

Good row

A pair of pants is filed under bottoms, includes waist, rise and inseam measurements, shows seams and fabric clearly, links to the matching item, sits beside comparable prices and has enough information for a rough weight judgment.

Weak row

A “must-have pants” row has one cropped image, no measurements, an unclear destination, no material view and no reason to save it beyond the label.

One-sentence save rule

Save the row only if you can finish this sentence: “I kept this candidate because its _____ is clearer or more suitable than the alternatives.”

What to do next

If the row scores well, compare it with one or two candidates in the same category. Check the shipping-weight notes before treating the price as complete. If the link, photos or claims feel unclear, use the buyer-safety guide and keep official support questions in official channels.
